CBS Big Bang Theory prequel just reached a tragic moment in Young Sheldon’s coming of age. TVLine’s Ryan Schwartz sits down with Lance Barber (“George Cooper”) and Zoe Perry (“Mary Cooper”) to discuss the emotional goodbye to George’s character, who sadly had a fatal heart attack in the penultimate episode of the series, “Young Sheldon.”
Lance Barber, who played the iconic father of the highly intelligent and socially awkward genius Sheldon Cooper, says he has always been “emotionally prepared” for George Sr.’s death but was not present when the scene was shot to enhance the emotions of the other characters in the scene.
