Enjoy a full-day guided private tour of Cape Town city that combines both bucket list “must-see” activities as well as insider experiences not offered anywhere else. With so many amazing things to see and experience, this curated private tour can also be specially customised to your own personal interests.

Start your day with a joyride in the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway, offering you a scenic ride up to the top of Table Mountain (weather-dependent). Once you reach the top, you’ll be welcomed with views over Cape Town, Table Bay, Robben Island and the Atlantic seaboard to the west and the south. There’s no question why Table Mountain is constantly rated as a must-do activity on any visit to Cape Town and certainly one for your bucket list. While you’re up there, spend some time walking the footpaths where you might spot a few adorable Dassie (Rock Hyrax) sunning itself on the rocks.

Next up, tick off another bucket list item with a visit to the Bo-Kaap area, or “Malay Quarter” with its brightly coloured houses and vibrant culture. Here you’ll discover the unique history, lifestyle and personality of the Cape’s Muslim community and their contribution to South Africa’s heritage. When you’ve finished your walking tour of the Bo-Kaap, we’ll head over to the Castle of Good Hope.

Built between 1666 and 1679, the Castle is known as the oldest surviving building in South Africa and has been the centre of civilian, political and military life at the Cape from approximately 1679. In its current state, the Castle arguably represents one of the best-preserved 17th-century DEIC architecture on the entire globe. The 2015 – 2016 renovation of the Castle – the first in 20 years – will further enhance its appeal and position it well to become South Africa’s next UNESCO World Heritage Site. We then visit the site where Nelson Mandela did his first speech as a free man! After this awe-inspiring experience, we head off to some of Cape Town’s most well-known streets.

We start at Long Street. Long Street could be described as the funkiest and loudest street in Cape Town, bustling with markets and boerewors roll stands during the day and hosting parties of all kinds once the sun sets.

Once the vintage clothing shops and designers’ alleys are closed, attention is turned to the plethora of bars, restaurants, pubs and clubs lining this iconic road. This road is always busy but in the summertime locals and foreigners explore out onto the pavements at sidewalk cafes, sip cocktails beneath umbrellas and party on the rooftops.
